My roots. The village named after the 16th century French writer and philosopher Montaigne. I went to school in this village when I was 10 for the 6th grade. And due to that stroke of luck I learned to speak French.
Riding the meandering back roads of the Bordeaux wine country, pretty sweet.
Very cool the hay "rolls." Sort of science fiction like, or maybe artish. Whatever, the contrast is pleasing to the eye.
These sunflowers are quite a bit taller than I.
Always stunning and musing these 11th century churches, scattered all about the countryside.
Bucolic, campestral, countryfied, provincial ... beautiful and awesome. I really enjoy riding my bike dans le sud de la France.
